ITINERARY LA PAZ TOUR

Full day

We collect the passengers for their lodging in the City of La Paz, Bolivia, to begin the visit in the south of the city. There we will visit the Valle de la Luna (Moon Valley), impressive clay formation modeled by erosion which gives it a lunar aspect.

Before noon we will visit the viewpoints of La Paz, among others the famous Killi Killi. After lunch we continue our visit to the main square Plaza Murillo (Km 0), where the Presidential Palace, Parliament, Cathedral and Legislative Palace are located.

We will continue the visit to Casco Viejo and the well known colonial street Jaén where you will see museums and artisan shops. Then we will go to the famous Church of San Francisco and the popular-commercial area of ​​La Paz with its colorful markets, silver, wood and traditional fabrics.

In Nuestra Señora de La Paz we will follow the route of traditional women, the Cholitas and their commercial activities. We started the visit in the Uruguay market, a market with a particular context, as it retains its colonial aspect, with the sale of vegetables, seeds and animals that are marketed in sight. We continue the walk to Mercado Rodríguez, which opens all week, but on weekends it grows so much that it occupies all the adjacent streets.

We continue along Calle Sagárnaga, the main shopping street for typical clothes and handicrafts. From here we will also visit the Calle de las Brujas, and finish the tour in the handicrafts market of San Francisco.

Later, we make the transfer to the lodging or point agreed with the passengers.

La Paz is located at an average altitude of 3600 meters above sea level; so it is recommended to take precautions, especially if passengers suffer from a height-related condition.

El Alto International Airport is 1 hour from the city of La Paz. Make note to hire transportation in advance. There are taxis and vans to the center of the city.
